I have added three months worth of images which is bringing Shades of Sky nearer to completion. I believe the shell is still in some need of tweaks but I am pretty pleased with it thus far.
In case you missed the big link here is a little one.

Lately I have been tinkering under the hood of many discarded flash experiments and have been putting together what I hope will be an adequate replacement to the “projects” area of Neuromance.co.za. While putting together this digital portfolio I have had the time to reuse and perfect a lot of old AS2.0 code snippets I had to create I think is an incredibly elegant action script solution for a dynamic portfolio.
I am not entirely sure when this will be completed however you can take a sneak peak at what I am working on here
It was while designing for the shell of my portfolio that I was struck with the idea of using iconagraphy. Typical to me when a good idea hits I decided to investigate the icon idea further and have created a side prohect with that and below is a sample of some of the work. This work has been watermarked as I hope to sell it to buy something shiny…. one day.

I have been tweaking things under the hood with the Shades of Sky GUI. There is still a lot of work to be done with some finer details needing to be implemented.
Over the next few weeks I plan on dumping a whole bunch of data so the content becomes richer.

For a while now I have been working on Shades of Sky. What is Shades of Sky? In a nutshell Shades of Sky is draggable time line designed and developed in Adobe Flash that shows you the year categorised from spring to winter. On this timeline there are ‘clickable’ photos placed in the month they were taken. You can click on any of the thumbnail images to view a larger image. Currently the data is a bit thin, but the concept is the more sky pictures you have eventually you will be able to see the shades of sky over the course of the year.
