Personalise your laptop… with vinyl
I had to purchase some sticky vinyl (which you can get from any hardware store) for a project that I am working on at home. While using it, and the fact that I got a 2 meter roll I saw potential. I would suggest you either use the correct tools to cut the vinyl or alternatively print your design onto a paper and use that as a guideline. You will want to use a scalpel or very sharp NT Cutter.
Below is a photograph vinyl stencil cut a did of my favourite logo which is the logo used by Aphex Twin (one of my favourite musicians) Sticking it on the laptop is fairly easy and the advantage is when you tire of it you can easily peel it off and create a new one. My laptop is made from aluminium so I am not sure whether this helps in making it easy to peel.

*NEW*
I know it might seem boring, but I am pretty happy with how the following vinyl turned out on the front keyboard face of the laptop.

jesus man – what the fuck – c wa happens when u buy pc – you have to camo the poor design with more plastic. and worst – you you have to design it yourself too! at least you can design – other people may feel compeled to place arb stickers found here and there, like K&N performance exhaust stickers, or glitter mermaid stickers (my daughters will have many options of those for u), or refrigerator magnets – oops sorry forgot – pc = plastic.
would you consider pimping up with LED lights etc… or aerodynamic spoiler for quick opening and closing…
aphex is good choice
you mean your dell has an aluminium-look finish?
