Don&#039;t know if anyone will read this but the really really basic gist of it is that they insert jellyfish DNA into the genome of *insert animal here* which will then cause it to produce the protein that makes them glow. It was originally developed to track how certain proteins moved through the body of the subject (attaching it to the DNA that codes for X protein will make it so that the glow gene will be attached to it, then the researchers can track it really easily.)</description>
